Ensign Launches Industry Wide Forum: LaundryTalk

There's an old saying, "Two heads are better than one." Before the Internet, if people wanted to leverage the power of the community, they all had to be in the same room, or needed to share ideas in letters or manifestos which often took weeks or even months to pass from person to person. Today, in the age of the World Wide Web, a community can gather online to share information, ideas and knowledge instantly. Two heads can become four, four heads can become twelve and twelve heads can eventually become a thousand.

The industrial laundry community already has a knowledge base, what it lacked was a place where the community could come together. That's why Ensign Emblem has created LaundryTalk. It is designed to be a place where everyone, whether or not they are currently Ensign customers, can come to discuss the state of the industry.

Will some of the information on LaundryTalk be specific to Ensign Emblem? Of course it will. While this forum is designed to be an industry wide resource, we also realize it is a great way for us to communicate with the community. So, we will talk about Ensign products, services and policies on the forum. It would be silly if we didn't. Our goal, however, is to create a forum that goes beyond Ensign, one that encompasses the entire community and all the companies that exist within the community. We look forward to taking part in an industry wide discussion, and we intend to make contributions that encompass a broader scope than simply "what's happening at Ensign". Working together we can create a body of information that will help make us all stronger and more profitable.

New Look

Ensign Emblem has had the same logo since our doors opened in 1974.  While our commitment to quality product, superior customer service and on-time delivery are unwavering, the company has evolved over the years.  We set out to design a new logo that would capture the evolution of Ensign, acknowledging both where the company began and where it plans to go.

When creating the graphic design of the new logo we addressed two themes.  The first was simple: the letter E on each side of the purple spine is representative of the Ensign Emblem name.  The second theme involved the six lines in the two capital letters.  These represent the six principles, Integrity, Family, Customer Service, Leadership, Excellence and Opportunity, on which Ensign Emblem’s success is built.

The logo’s color scheme, aubergine and sterling, was selected to reflect both Ensign’s past and its future  Sterling symbolizes security, maturity, dependability and trustworthiness, which represents Ensign’s  reputation for over 30 years.  Aubergine represents wisdom, creativity and courage, the ideals that will inspire Ensign’s future growth.

We view this change as the corporate version of a new haircut or a day at the spa.  Our appearance may have changed, but our character remains exactly the same.
